Tasty Cakes

The latest RSC shipment arrived
it is Blue Moon Fiber Arts “Silkie” and it’s luscious. 81% wool & 19% silk – the ball band is wrong. 
Notice my fabu hand wound cakes each weighing in at exactly 1.8 oz. The postage scale at work rawks! The cast on and pickup was a fiddly two beer affair but I got it going. I don’t know how well I am going to like socks on two circs but I am giving it a go. It just seems like too much shifting of needles but maybe once I get into the foot this method will make more sense, or at least the same sense, as using my beloved dpns.
I also finished the Monsoons finally!
They came out pretty well, I think. The girl is wearing them to school tomorrow. Granted, it’s been in the 80’s and this is medium weight yarn we are talking about but she says it’ll be fine. She’ll wear them with her Tevas since she doesn’t have PE and won’t mess them up. Ha!
